The State of Florida and Cordis, a global leader in interventional cardiovascular technology, announced plans for Cordis to invest approximately $60 million at its Miami Lakes corporate headquarters, supporting the creation of up to 300 new full-time jobs over the next few years. The planned investment builds on Cordis’s long-standing presence in South Florida and reinforces the company’s commitment to the region.

“As a mainstay in South Florida and a leader in interventional cardiovascular technology, Cordis is a valued partner in advancing Florida’s position as a leader in advanced manufacturing and medical technology,” said Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly. “Through the expansion of their corporate headquarters and operational, engineering and manufacturing capabilities, Cordis is playing a key role in driving Governor DeSantis’ mission to create high-value jobs for our skilled workforce—supporting job seekers while reinforcing Florida’s commitment to innovative patient care.”

The State of Florida awarded Cordis a grant through its High Impact Performance Incentive Program to support enhancements to the company’s operational, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities in Miami Lakes, including continued investment in its corporate headquarters.

“Cordis is proud to deepen our commitment to Miami Lakes, where our company was founded and where global cardiovascular innovations continue to be developed,” said Champ Davis, Chief Operating Officer of Cordis. “Enhancing our corporate headquarters, research and development, and manufacturing capabilities creates high-quality jobs and leverages the strong Florida workforce that has powered Cordis for decades. It also strengthens our mission to be the heart of innovation that transforms cardiovascular care for the more than 21 million patients we serve each year in over 65 countries.”
