Codis, a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in spray drying, amorphous solid dispersions (ASDs) and advanced particle engineering, announced a key milestone in the ongoing PSD-4 expansion at the company’s site in Haverhill, U.K.
Together with the company’s formulation development, analytical, clinical supply and oral solid dose capabilities in Nottingham, the investment will further connect development and manufacturing capabilities across Codis’ U.K. network, supporting programs as they progress from early formulation through to commercial-scale spray drying.
“Completing demolition and moving into construction is an important milestone for the PSD-4 expansion. By building within our existing Haverhill facility and utilizing established site infrastructure, we can deliver the additional capacity efficiently while building on the expertise and capabilities already in place in our 100,000 sq. ft. cGMP facility,” commented Nick Hodgson, Vice President & General Manager, Haverhill Operations.
The PSD-4 expansion remains on schedule, with the next key milestone, the Dryer Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), due to take place in November. The new spray dying capacity is expected to become available in the last quarter of 2027.
