Description
- Develop and execute the local medical strategy aligned with brand, marketing, and global medical plans to support business objectives and patient outcomes.
- Provide scientific and medical expertise to cross-functional teams by delivering accurate, evidence-based medical information and ensuring compliance with company policies, SOPs, and local regulations.
- Support brand strategy with medical insights through analysis of scientific literature, clinical data, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead medical affairs activities , including medical information management, publication planning, scientific communications, congress participation, and educational initiatives for healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Drive medical evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps, supporting local clinical studies, investigator-initiated research, patient support programs, and dissemination of scientific data where applicable.
- Build and strengthen relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) by developing scientific partnerships, leading advisory boards, and ensuring compliant external medical engagements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Regional Medical teams to provide scientific support, formulary listing strategies, product launches, and staff capability development.
- Lead and develop the Medical team by coaching team members, managing performance and KPIs, supporting talent development, and fostering a high-performance, compliant, and patient-centric culture.
Qualifications
Highest qualification: University
- Advanced degree preferred (MD, PharmD, PhD, or Master's in Medical, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Pharmacology, or related fields); Bachelor's degree in a relevant health science discipline is required.
- Relevant experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Healthcare, or the pharmaceutical industry, with research and HCP engagement experience considered an advantage.
- Strong scientific expertise with the ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex medical and scientific information effectively to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships, coach teams, and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with strong organizational and presentation skills, and willingness to travel as required.
