Description
- Achieve sales, marketing and financial objectives in assigned territory.
- Develop business plan and sales strategy for assigned territory to achieve company sales goals and profitability.
- Drive growth in revenue and increase market share through workflow selling and consumables conversion.
- Promote maximum usage of Bio-Rad products on all systems in given customer sites.
- Timely submission of accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts to Sales Manager.
- Prospect and grow targeted qualified sales pipeline and maintain record of sales activities in Salesforce.com.
- Responsible for calling on all current and prospective customers on a regular basis (expected that 75% of the time is spent in the field).
- Responsible for coordinating between customers and other departments in the company to ensure customer satisfaction at all times and reports promptly to the Sales Manager of any circumstance where this is not occurring.
Marketing
- Maintain excellent market knowledge of all major prospects and local competitor activities and report this information to the Sales Manager and marketing team.
- Advise on and recommend product marketing strategies including promotion, advertising, pricing and distribution and marketing event.
- Liaise with Marketing in the formulation of sales strategies, manage relationships with key opinion leaders across product portfolio.
Product Support
- Liaise with Field Application team in relation to planning, evaluations, demonstrations, installations and post-sales support.
- Liaise with Service Dept to ensure instruments meet specifications and that appropriate levels of maintenance and service is achieved.
Administration
- Responsible for the maintenance of the customers and prospects databases in Salesforce.com.
- Responsible for conforming to ISO guidelines.
Self-Development
- Take ownership of personal development.
- Implement an Individual Development Plan
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma /Degree in Life Sciences/Biomedical
- Master/PhD in Life Sciences/Biomedical is Preferred
Experience
- Excellent technical and practical knowledge of technologies used in Life Sciences
- Minimum 1 years of relevant experience with proven track record
- Proven ability to prepare, implement and monitor business plans
- Demonstrate experience in “Consultative Sales Process”.
- Prior experience in managing Life Science academic research/Biopharma/Biotech accounts
